Cracked tooth on piece of popcorn at movie theatre!

I cracked my tooth on piece of popcorn at movie theatre!

Popcorn was free because it was free movie screening on the red carped!

Can I get compensation from theatre to fix my tooth?

I disagree with Russell. Rarely would a theater carry medical pay coverage. You can only recover from the theater on a negligence or strict liabiilty theory if the popcorn had a foreign object in it. Since a popcorn kernel is intrinsic to popcorn, it is a natural object and you are out of luck.

Oddly enough you may. If the theater carries medical coverage on their insurance policy, you may only need to show that you were injured on the property to be covered. You do not need to show negligence or fault under medical coverage. But you will need to ask the claims representative if the coverage terms afford you coverage for your dental expenses.
