Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

How much should I expect to get?

Hello,

I was in an accident about 5 months ago where I was hit in the back. I tweaked my neck and injured my shoulder. I have out of work since collecting disablity and I have been going to physical therapy and the chiropractor every week since. The doctor said that surgery might be neccessary on my shoulder but he still has to see. I was wondering how much money I can expect if I sue the driver who hit me from behind?

Thanks

Re: How much should I expect to get?

I can't give you a specific answer, without additional details.

Did the driver who hit you have insurance, and, if so, how much? What kind of work did you do, how old are you, what was your gross pay, does the doctor indicate what kind of surgery, etc.?

Assuming you can prove damages, another question is whether there is a police report, and have you been contacted by someone from the driver"s insurance company, and from your insurance company?

E-mail me with more facts (or call, if you wish) and I'll try to get a more definite answer for you.

No one can tell you at this point. Until and unless you have surgery, you recover, etc... it is impossible to tell you what your case is worth. You can read more about this at www.calpiblog.com
