Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was involved in an accident where I was hit by a truck while riding my bike. The insurance company has decided to settle. Now I'm curious as to the attorney fees normally added to my bill.

In any given case, if you don't have an attorney handling the case, you are not entitled to attorney fees.

You apparently don't have an attorney in this case, or he would have educated you already.

Even if you had an attorney in this case, you are not entitled to any attorney fees, 'added' or otherwise, to be paid by defendants. This is a PI case where the attorney fees you would have to pay your attorney would be determined by your retainer agreement with the attorney, and they would be paid to him out of whatever recovery he negotiates for you as settlement of the case.
