Your 'home', your party, your equipment = your liability. That is how the legal system is going to view this.

Turn it over to your insurance company. You did have renter's liability insurance customarily required by landlords, right?? Otherwise, when you get sued you'll have to hire your own attorney to defend the litigation, and you'll have to pay any judgment or settlement of claims. If serious about hiring counsel, feel free to contact me for the legal help you're going to need. Your attorney may be able to get this resolved before it gets 'blown out of proportion'.
