How long does hospital keep surveillance tapes before destroying it?

I am not aware of any law that says they have to keep surveillance video, except the general prohibition against destroying evidence (that is, if the hospital knows the video is evidence of something and destroy it anyway)

I agree with Mr. Tillem. There is no statewide requirement for any entity to retain security camera footage. It is only when a request is made to preserve it and it is destroyed that it becomes a problem.
