Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

a woman brought her pit bull in my rental house where there is a sign posted that there are dogs inside plus she knew we had 2 part pit bull inside,

do not know what happened but when she called me from emergency room she said that the dogs attacked her dog and she tried o seperate them

and they bit her. Can we be sued for this?
