Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

What can I do if I know a buyer has misrepresented the sales price when having the sale recorded through Escrow, by the amount of 112,000. It was a cash sale that should have recorded at 560.000 but was recorded at 448.000. I am 2 doors down from that house and my appraisal on my refinance reflected that inaccurate sale price. They paid cash but I have a Final Closing Statement from the Listing Agent showing sales price at 560.000. Buyers lied and said they received 112.000 of furniture. That large of amount is not allowed am I right. How can I get this changed and corrected in the Tax Records. It could have a huge impact on the all the owners in this community that might want to sell. Can I do anything?

The only thing you can really do is report the information you have to the County Assessor/Recorder's property tax division for investigation and possible prosecution for tax fraud.
