Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have a house listed. The husband shot himself in the house, was airlifted to hospital, died in hospital. What is the legal time period of disclosure.

By statute, you are required to disclose an occupant's death that occurred on the property within the past three (3) years. (Civ. Code, sect. 1710.2)

You need to keep in mind that there is a common law doctrine that states you need to also disclose it if is material to the sale. My rule of thumb is that the more that you do not want to disclose it, the more you should disclose it.
