Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

A LLC contacted me directly to buy my vacant lot, they prepared the documents and the grant deed and said they will pay me after I sign and notoraize and send them the original grant deed, they got it and disappeared won't return my calls, the Buyer did not pay me, I found their Agent that set up their LLC they wont answer their phone. I do I get my money? And they sold it a week before I signed the grant deed on EBAY is this legal?

This is why escrows are used in real estate transactions. I think you need a lawyer asap. Hopefully I am wrong, but there is a real possibility that you have been defrauded. If so, and with adequate proof, the transaction can be undone by court action.

You need a lawyer IMMEDIATELY. The longer this goes on without legal action on your part the more likely you will never get your property back or any compensation. In fact, contrary to Mr. Whipple's assurance, it is very unlikely that you can get your property back if it has been sold to a third party who had no knowledge of the fraud. And also contrary to his comments you almost CERTAINLY have been defrauded. Call a lawyer, not tomorrow, not later today, but as soon as their office opens today.
