Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Have sold my house on a short sale with closing scheduled for November 9,2009.

The Realtor said that thelender will not issue funds until ceratin elements are corrected such as Termite tenting, construction projects etc! The realtors are requesting that I move everything out for construction and then to move out of the house for the time it takes to deal witht the termites. I was under the assumption that these are things that are done after possession to a new owner. I have no place to move to yet. Can they demand that I comply with their requests? Do I have any recourse?

They can't directly demand it, but they can certainly not allocate the funds until it is completed. You are better off not fighting this one and trying to find somewher else to move. If you do want to go to battle, I'm certain we can assist in (at the very least) delaying them or pushing back the closing date.
