If someone sold me a house trasspassing my neighbor and I was unaware who's responsible.

It depends upon whether your seller was aware of the situation, or reasonably ought to have been aware of it. If he/she was, and failed to disclose the situation, he/she is probably liable to you. The situation might be better described as an 'encroachment' than as a trespass, by the way. Better check with a real-estate lawyer, as there are time limits for suits and the law regarding who's liable and what remedies are available is rather complex.
