Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

I was involved in a 4 car collision, three cars (my car was one of them) stopped but the fourth car didn't and rear-ended the stopped car in front of him, which caused that car to hit my car, which caused my car to hit the car in front of mine. I only have liability car insurance, so I filed a claim against the at fault driver (the fourth car) but his insurance company said they can't compensate for the car damage (there were no injuries) because they can't identify a policy that would cover my claim. What can I do now? Not sure if this is relevant but my uninsured motorist coverage only covers bodily injury but not car damage.
