Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I was caregiver to my Grandmother 4 yrs 2 of which were 24-7,365 due to Pradaxa Nov 2011 poisoning.

Nov 2011 and beyond her personality was profoundly altered

more so than I knew. I had thought that being caregiver exposes me to her getting angry with me, especially now that she became someone that was angry with me and most everybody. I have a signed caregiver agreement and I fulfilled it, my pay was merely what was mine before ever being asked to be caregiver by her and Uncle who passed in 07. She gave my $1.2 mil trust to a daughter of mine in LA who was always crying about her life and how she needs this for that, never ending, and suddenly really lovey dovey over the top flattery and affection.

I figured if she was not influencing Grandmother she would not try to unjustly enrich herself at my expense but she got an atty to fight me!!

My lawyer filed as no probate existed but never made a credit claim but enforcement of the stale B trust

Mediation my daughter offfered me $100k of 2.3 mil so clearly she is happy to keep my money even fight me for it

I am afraid my atty made a fatal error in claim but he says me filing for EDD was good enough?

Feb 2014 She died from a stroke

Your recitation, unfortunately, is not entirely clear.

Without seeing the papers filed with the EDD, the trust documents, and any court proceeding as to the trust, it is not possible to say anything. You also don't want specific advice like that in a public forum, where everyone can see it.

I strongly suggest you contact an attorney for a second opinion if you have lost faith in the attorney you have. That attorney can review the documents, ask you questions and conduct follow-up, and advise you in confidence.
