Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Where is it cited that a LWT prepared in the USA must be probated in the USA in order for it to be accepted in the Philippines? And, even once probated in the USA that it may still be questionned and possibly have to go through probate again in the Philippines?

I'm not sure what an LWT is (try to avoid acronyms unless they are obvious to everyone like "IRS"). What I can say is that if you are dealing with accounts or land in the Philippines, then you are dealing with issues of Filipino law. I wouldn't rely on a trust created here to own any foreign property (even in Canada) without reviewing it with an attorney in that county. You may, in fact, have to open probate here in order to get the necessary documentation to collect assets in the Philippines.
