If a daughter is requested to act as the administrator of a trust or will of a parent, what is the position of the attorney who develops the trust or will and calls himself the parent's "lawyer"?

The parents lawyer is just that, the parents lawyer. While that lawyer who set up an estate plan can often be very helpful in administrign a parents affairs after death, becuase they are familiar with the estate plan, it is up to the administrator who to hire (assuming, of course, that a lawyer is required). I hope this answers your question.
