durable power of attorney questions requarding estates

I cared for family for 4 years, started helping dad care for Mom,then dad came ill, then little sister(2 kids also)..

Mom improved and dad worse.Lawyer came to house to give brother durable power of attorney(dad was incapacitated at time)they also resended their will. In doing so lawyer forged my fathers signature.also drew up last wishes for sis-brother custody of kids.OI recieve no help from brother, is said to have his own life and I do all! dad dies, still no help. Lawyer made another visit and I heard him tell Mom to shred papers!?!? sister goes to hospital. and I am told my brother said he is moving into family house when she dies. She dies, he is moving her kids belonging out of rooms for his to go in , selling their belongings from the garage-to get it out of there.Brother in law was told he(brother) knew last wishes were not valid, but just did it!My mom is not dealing well with everything and is in denial about all. she is spoiled and self serving. Said there was no room for myself and that she need a man in the home. I sense my brother already owns the family home, acts as such. I would like to know what they have done and what I can do if anything. all I wanted was a little respect, rest and help

Re: durable power of attorney questions requarding estates

You question contains very serious allegations which if true and can be proven certainly may void forged documents. Whether or not the will or intestate succession would govern is an issue. There is also no time frame provided for the events or your discovery of the events. There is no way to evaluate your legal options without more information. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
