Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Hello

Okay my grandfather passed away in 2009 and last month i seen one of my uncles on my way home on the bus And he told me that my grandfather lefted me and my sister some money behind and for me and my sister to come to court so my father doesnt end up getting all of it.

I had no knowledge of this period and i dont think its right that me and my sister wasnt imformed about this a head of time so that we could have claimed what belonged to us.

This is not the first time my father has done this to me. Back in 2000 me my father and two of my cousins were in a car accident and some how he(my father) got every dime for the car accident. I know this was so long ago(the car accident) but please understand i was a little girl i didnt know what to do and its not fair that got away with all my money.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

How old were you when your grandfather died? If you were 18 or over and named as a beneficiary in his Will or Trust, the executor or trustee would have been required to send you a legal notice.

You should call an attorney close to you who can look up any open court dates and to make sure you get to court on the required date.
