Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

is there any law in Ca. that requires any signatures on fathers death certificate. i am named successor trustee/executor and had durable p.o.a for medical and financial matters. my brother put his name on it and now i am having a hard time getting info. im always asked who is eric(my brother) and then have to prove that i am in charge

It doesn't matter who is listed as the informant on the death certificate. You would be asked to show evidence that you are the successor trustee regardless. (or executor for non-trust assets)
