Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my mother told me that she created a will and that, I was in it. however, she suffered a stroke shortly thereafter. and, individuals gained control over her estate by power of attorney. and then destroyed and deviated her personal papers and effects. My question is: "may one with power of attorney void wills, insurance policies, Ect. created or/and set up by the testator?"
