Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Do I have any rights? My brother is the executor of my parents estate. We don't talk and he won't share any info regarding the accounting of the Estate. (The accountant, just wrote some numbers down Schedule A, B, etc.. ) Do I have a legal right to get a detailed report, itmeized on the estate sale figures. It's basic, with every thing is 50/50. Also I would like info on coin receipts, he sold. I have been told he doesn't have to share info with me. Just figures....How do I not know he didn't help himself. Why can I not see how my parents money went from 5 accounts down to 2 accounts and how this was handled.

If this is a probate procedure ( you said he was executor) , he will need to provide a complete accounting in connection with the petition for final distribution. At that time you can object and deal with any issues you are not comfortable with. You may need to engage counsel to assist you. If this is , in fact, a trust, and he is trustee, you may have to file a petition for an accounting.
