Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Rights of deceased

Does the spouse of a deceased person have the right to burry the ashes of said deceased if the deceased persons living wish was to be creamated and kept, not creamated and later burried, provided there is a living child of said deceased willing to keep and care for the remains? The deceadent and spouse had a living trust but I do not know if the deceadents wishes are in writing anywhere.
