Does a successor trustee have to sell to other trustee who wants to buy them out from a house in the trust

Question seems to be incomplete, but sounds like you are not only trustees, but also beneficiaries of the trust. If that is the case, then either beneficiary can compel a sale of the residence by filing a petition for partition of the property to be sold at public sale, at which either party can buy the other person out, based on an appraised value.

You need to consult with an attorney in detail. Trustees cannot engage in self dealing, and it is not clear what the terms of the trust are.
