Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my uncle died this January and he left behind my aunt their 4 year old son and three more kids from his previous marriage who are all 23 years and older. my aunt moved out a few of the stuff and a expensive tool box to a storage which belonged to my uncle. after doing this she receives a call from my uncles ex wife( who got a divorce from him about 15 years ago) saying that all that stuff belongs to her children and that she is going to call the cops on my aunt. my question is did my aunt do anything wrong by moving those things out? should she be worried at all?

The ex-wife is going to have a tough time proving that these items belonged to her children and the police will not get involved. However, your aunt should see a probate attorney and have the attorney review your uncle's will to see if there are any legal grounds for his other children to make any claim to these items.
