can you be denied workers compensation benefits if you fail the the drug test 2 weeks after you were injured on the job?

Yes, the insurer can deny treatment based on evidence you are using illegal/controlled substances ... but the insurer can deny treatment just based on a Utilization Review physician 3000 miles away who writes she thinks you don't need a specified treatment, then you get an "Independent Medical Review" and 85% of IMRs deny treatment. The law is written BY YOUR ASSEMBLYMEN AND STATE SENATORS who accept big money from insurance companies and businesses to pay injured workers next to nothing.
