Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Am I eligible for stress-related injuries?

I work for a small office - two supervisors and myself. I am six months pregnant. Since my employer has discovered my pregnancy, I have been subjected to verbal abuse on a nearly daily basis - often leaving me in tears. My ob/gyn has told me that my blood pressure is high (a danger to both me and my unborn child). I do not sleep and suffer from severe anxiety every morning before going to work. I am obviously not in a position to acquire new employment. In addition, I would lose my health benefits. Do I have a claim?

An experienced Applicant's Attorney

An experienced Applicant's Attorney can probably ensure that you recieve workers' compensation benefits relating to stress. However, a much better approach is to seek an attorney specializing in Labor law. An attorney in this area of law may accept your case on a contingency basis and the rewards will be more satisfying because WC remedies are limited by statute.
