Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I would like my fianc to start attending meetings that I have with my attorneys. I don't feel I am being represented well or that my attorney has my best interest. Since this is an emotional rollercoaster for me, I would like another set of ears to listen and help me. My attorney said that there isn't anything I can do to allow him to attend that is goes against client/attorney privileges. Is there anything I can do?

I have my clients sign a release that they acknowledge and agree this person listening in and participating in attorney/client communications WILL ACTUALLY use their personal information against them and harm their case and reduce their recovery in court and seriously damage their professional and public reputation... people who sign such a document are then permitted to have 'fiance' (effectively, just a friend without a marriage license) listen in on meetings. If you are unable to grasp your attorney's communications personally, you may wish to interview other attorneys (rather that bring in a 'fiance' who may not be connected to you at all on the date of trial and testify against you).
