Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My injury was with n oil company in 2000 in long Beach. I retained a highly regarded Dr in Los Angeles. I've hired two separate attorneys and am now letting go of the 2nd so that legal shield can finalize my case. I'm 4th stage terminal so time is of the essence. Do the previous lawyers get more than their original retainers when it's resolved

No You only pay one attorney fee and it should be split between the two based on time they each had the case. You may ask a judge to reduce their fee so ask the defense to hold the attorney fees in trust until all parties including you reach an agreement.
