Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Self Insured Company

I have been working 10 years for my employer. Last year he decided to drop the Worker's Compensation insurance and become ''self insured'' by posting a 1 million dollar bond with the state of California. On 12-19-02 I injured my backon the job, while helping to lift a portable generator into a company truck. I have been seeing a chiropractor and an MD ever since. An MRI was done and it shows a crack in one of my discs that is pinching a nerve. So far I have had two cortizone shots in my back and am scheduled to have one more. I am still taking pain medication. My Dr. says that I might be permanently disabled for life! Is my employer responsible for paying any disability benefits and if so how do I go about requesting them?

Re: Self Insured Company

from the facts given so far, you can either file a worker's compensation claim, or a negligence claim in the alternative if your employer terminated the company's worker's compensation program. at any rate, you do have remedies i can assist you with in recovering what you sound to be rightfully entitled to. email me more of the specifics of your case and i would be happy to further assist you legally.

Re: Self Insured Company

The worker's compensaton system is very adversial. The insurance adjusters whether self insured or otherwise do anything and everything to reduce a worker's claim and force settlement at a low amount. Do not delay in obtaining representation. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
