Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I'm a seasonal employee, i started on 11/10/16 and i got injured on the job on 11/21/2016. i was told I would be let go in January 2017 but I'v also been told that I'll be in a cast at least until January 3rd, then I'll have surgery, then be in a cast again for at least a few months. I've been put on partial temporary disability from the dr. they sent me to, they have no light duty work for me at my current job. My question is, will WC still pay for my medical treatment after January? will I still get benefits? How do they calculate my hours/income if it hasn't been very long or a consistent amount of hours worked each week?

As a part of worker's compensation benefits, you are entitled to ongoing treatment, temporary disability benefits and a settlement for permanent disability and future medical treatment. So your surgery and any future surgery, physical therapy, medications and other treatments will be covered by insurance carrier. However, Worker's compensation laws are highly specialized area of law and you really need to retain an attorney otherwise you would allow the claim adjuster to make all the decisions for you and insurance carrier will fight to minimize benefits that you are entitled to.
