Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have been waiting since I signed settlement papers for a w/c settlement on 11/22/14. I have contacted my attorney and has received no response. Where can I go or who can I talk to about getting my settlement.

It's a slow time, Christmas and New Years.... after you sign and your attorney signs, then the forms go to either the adjuster or the defense attorney for signatures. That could account for 3 weeks. Some wCAB offices are backed up... it may be that the attorneys mailed it in and are just waiting for the WCAB Judge to approve it...that could run 6 weeks.

Your attorney is taking money from you, it seems peculiar you can't talk to the attorney about the progress on getting it all signed and to the judge.

If you are on the internet, go to www.dir.ca.gov and click Workers Comp and hit the 'Search for a case" and look up your case by the ADJ number and see if it is being held up by a judge who has misgivings or questions.
