Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Work injury occurred Oct of 2012. Employers insurance company has been paying me, but after the two year mark of my fall at work, they've reduced my pay by almost 3/4 the amount. Making $460 bi-weekly now and will not be able to pay rent. CA State disability denied my claim stating "Your claim is not eligible to receive benefits. You must have earned at least $300 from which SDI deductions were withheld during a previous period." I've continued to receive direct deposit from my employer (all off $64 bi-weekly) but pay statement shows I'm still paying into CA OASDI/EE. I do have a workers comp attorney, but he's very black and white and difficult to get a bit of guidance for this aspect of the injury nightmare.
