Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

My girlfriend and her husband have been seperated for 4 years. Both have resided at different places for several years. Both places that live in are joint owned by both. He constantly goes to her residence and removes property from their and changes the locks so she can't get in. Is this legal?

This is not a civil rights question - it is a real estate and family law question.

To answer the question - yes it is legal to change the locks on a property you own. Your girlfriend is living in property that is half owned by her husband. If she wants the harassment to stop she needs to stop screwing around and file for divorce. What is she waiting for? Until she does this, she is in a partnership with her estranged spouse. It's no surprise that arrangement doesn't go well.
