Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Hello,

My son has recently been arrested for simple robbery. He has been accused of robbing a band in Fountain CO. He has been positively identified by many people in the community and will be pleading guilt. His bond is 10,000 and he is still in jail at CJC. He has never been arrested before, there was no weapon involved or physical damage done to any person or the institution. Here are my questions:

1. If he pleads guilty what will happen?

2. If he can get a bail reduction and I can bail him out will he still quality for a public defender. He has not worked for the past two years and made very poor choices. I would like to get him working so that he can begin to be accountable for at least a small part of his life. He will live with me (his mother) if he gets out on bail.

3. Can I be present in his meetings with a public defender?

Thank you,

1) He will be sentenced. What the sentence is depends on the quality of the plea deal.

2) If he bonds out, he will have to re-apply, and the application then includes all household members' incomes.

3) Only if he consents to do so.
