Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

If the coparent of my daugher has a drinking problem and is drunk on all his parenting time visits what is the best way to handle the situation? Of course if I file the "modify parenting time" form he will not agree to it. Especially if it states that he has a drinking problem. Our daughter is 9. Thank you.

I suggest that you may need to take the position that an emergency order is needed to restrict parenting time. If you can prove your case he does not have to agree. You will be granted a hearing within 14 days; however, this is not a simple time and can backfire if not done appropriately.

It sounds like your case may have some complicated items in it. I don't recommend that you try to attack it alone. Give us a call and we can set you up for an appointment.
