Re: guardianship

If the sister and her husband want to become legal guardians of your son, they need to complete the appropriate paperwork in Massachusetts. (This is a Massachusetts question, not a Colorado question.) However, if you intend to remain the legal guardian for your son, there may be no reason to transfer guardianship to someone else. You should consult with the school to see if they *require* a guardian to be local. If they do not have such a requirement, there may be no reason to transfer guardianship.
