Legal Question in Immigration Law in Colorado

Hey, I'm married to a green card holder and I have student visa she already filled out the i-130 form and we received notice of actin I-797c on July 23rd 14. So I'm wnondring if I can fill out any other forms like I-765 and I-131 forms while IM waitng for the visa bulletin day change ? And how long it will take to be C ?

Unfortunately, you cannot file the adjustment of status package (which includes the I-765 & I-131) until your priority date becomes current. Until then, you would need to contact your foreign student advisor about getting CPT or OPT. Also, make sure you maintain legal, non-immigrant status until you file the I-485.

No one knows when a particular priority date will become current. You will just need to check the visa bulletin monthly. The visa bulletin does not move in real time & can even retrogress after one becomes current. It just depends on how many people already have immigrant visa cases pending & how many visa numbers are available.
