Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My question is i am going through a divorce, my husband would like me and our children to stay in our home and not have to move, he paying right now for mostly all the bills, i know while i am staying in the house i cannot get child support and alimony, he is going to retire soon fro the military, if i stay in the house will i still get half of his pension? he has made it quite clear to my family members he does not want me to to get half..

There is no rule that you do not get alimony or child support while living in the house. In fact, child support will have to be calculated, no matter where you live. You absolutely can get a portion of his pension. What portion of the pension is distributed to you depends on how long you have been married and how you divide other assets.

Attorney macdonald is absolutely correct. You are entitled to child support as the custodial guardian. Most divorces with such issues can be heavily negotiated for settlement.
