Legal Question in Technology Law in Connecticut

Unauthorized Online Account Access

A friend of mine is having problems

with another person, who

threatened to go into all of her

online accounts and change the

email/passwords on them to

completely cut her off from them. Is

this sort of thing illegal, and is there

any legal recourse she could take if

he did do this?

Re: Unauthorized Online Account Access

Yes, it is illegal.

Usually, a Cease and Desist letter is issued from an Attorney.

If the person continues, legal recourse can be taken in the form of an injunction issued by a court.
