When you say "legally separated" do you mean there's a court order of legal separation, or just that you have been living apart for 3 years? If there's a court ordered legal separation (from a Connecticut court), the you just have to file a motion to transform the legal separation order into a complete dissolution order. If it's just that you have been living apart for 3 years, then you have to file a dissolution action in the superior court. How long it takes and whether there would be alimony, property division, child support, etc., would depend on the situation.
