Can a pension be attached by law for lack of paying toward alimony?

If the pension is covered by ERISA (most are), it can't be attached. However, once the monthly check is issued to you and deposited in your bank account, the bank account can be attached. Also, she can file a contempt against you, and if the judge finds you have the ability to pay the alimony (because you are getting a pension), he can find you in contempt and jail you.
