Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

sleeping arrangements

My ex and his current wife have a one bedroom apartment. I believe that their grandson lives there too. That is why they recently got bunkbeds. When 6 and 3 year olds stay at Dad's they all sleep in the same room. My 3 year old even has to share a bed with his ''nephew.'' I do not feel it is right all 5 people should not be together. Am I right or wrong?

Re: sleeping arrangements

Are 3 children sharing a bedroom with your ex and his wife? The sleeping arrangement is not very clear from your question.

Although it's not the ideal situation, there are many families who can not afford bedrooms for all of their children. Their homes are neat, clean and appropriate, nevertheless. If all of the children are small, I do not perceive a problem.

However, the age of the children and their gender is important. Once the children become older, mixing females and males in the same rooms can be an issue depending on the circumstances of the particular situation. I can not generalize as to what is right or wrong.
