Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

Are we responsible if my 15 yr old damages....

a truck by accident while working for my neighbor? My son went to a fair to help my neighbor sell food. By accident, he left the truck's back hatch down when they were putting everything away and a small area on the back hatch got scratched down to the paint while it was rubbing against the hitch as they were driving. Are we his parents responsible for paying for the damage or is the employer??

I don't think your son would be responsible and so, parents would not be as well.
