Do I need to identify a reason on the Connecticut Notice to Vacate form to evict a tenant that does not have a written lease? I want to give 30 days notice to a tenant that shares my home.

Yes, but its a lot more complicated. A Notice to Quit must accurately and precisely comply with statutory requirements. Failure to do so can make a Summary Process complaint vulnerable to a Motion to Dismiss. I recommend that anyone attempting an eviction utilize the services of an experienced landlord/tenant attorney.
