Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Connecticut

If a surgery is done incorrectly or incompletely and patient has to have it redone by another physician, does patient have a right for monetary compensation for the pain and expense of having another surgury. And are there difference ways to approach this besides medical malpractice. What responsibility does the physician have to compensate said patient?

I am sorry to hear this happened to you. This would be a malpractice claim. Whether it would be worthwhile to pursue the claim depends on the complexity and expense of the surgery and the likelihood of proving that the surgery was performed incorrectly. Please feel free to call me at 860.236.9350 for more information.
