Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Connecticut

I was recently hired for a secretary / receptionist job. I only worked a total of 3 days. The reason why I feel that I was no longer employed (not fired) was due to my refusal to have an intimate, private relationship with the owner. Upon hiring me, told me he hired me because I was pretty & it would help business. The job was a tire shop for automobiles. The second day of work he told me that he was not happily married, and that he wanted to have someone to 'do things with' such as go to dinner, the casino, motorcycle riding etc. and as long as I could keep a secret he said that we could go to his house that day because the kids were not home and his wife was working. I refused and told him I felt very uncomfortable about the whole situation. At the end of that work day he told me he would call me in a few days to let me know when I would be working. I waited and waited, even though I did not feel comfortable working with him again anyhow. Finally I just went to the tire shop and even though he was avoiding me and my calls he spoke with me. He told me due to financial reasons, he was unable to employ me any longer (even though he specifically said if I had a relationship with him he would give me a considerable amount of money. I do not know what to do at this point.

I am very interested in your case. When people in positions of power take advantage of their authority over others, there should be severe consequences. What happened to you is abhorant and reprehensible. You should seek out legal counsel and teach this individual that sexual harassment and wrongful termination will not be tolerated; that there will be consequences.
