what is the age of reasoning for a child to choose where they want to live in a child custody case for the district of columbia

There is no such age in DC nor in any other U.S. jurisdiction(as far as I am aware) since each child at any given age differs from others of the same age with respect to the characteristics and factors which the court must consider

in weighing any particular child's preferences on this particular issue.
