Networking groups are private entities or clubs, each with their own rules of procedure. To answer your question, you would need to obtain a copy of the group’s bylaws to determine if they have a membership appeals procedure, or to find rule that says they have to admit you to the group. If they do not have such established procedures, it still won’t hurt to ask for reconsideration…you have nothing to loose. The question you have to ask yourself is, is it worth the effort to try to force a club to accept you if they don’t want you as a member? How productive could your relationship with the group be if you have to fight your way in?

Yes, you can ask the group, but there is no guarantee of any success. This is a private group and probably does not not adhere Robert's Rules of Order. It is up to the Board whether or not they will meet with you and, if they do, whether or not they will speak with you. Most networking groups only allow one of a kind/profession and thus your denial may have been a result of something as simple as having the quota filled for a photographer.
