Legal Question in Aviation Law in Florida

Case against a big flyght school.

Recentely I was induced into take an expensive and long flight training, with a real big Flight School, which turned out to be unecessary. I ended up spending over $ 9500,00 and did not get anything back since the Director from that guided incorrectly. My dillema is shall I take this company to court and try to defend myself or just ignore completely, because if I hire an attorney it would probably cost me at least half of what I deserve back. I believe that I have a very good leverage, even though this company is big, they are doing business under a different name, but they never discrosed that fact to me or any of my felow pilots. I sincerely think that this case has a potencial to become a big class action, and the company has a lot of tangible assets. Please advise of what to do. Thanks, any help is highly appreciated.

Re: Case against a big flyght school.

Your inquiry is interesting as I recently spoke to another attorney I know quite well who is in the midst of a class action against a similar flight school and the case is going quite well.

I would need to know more of the facts, what was promised, what was provided and why you feel that you did not get what you paid for so feel free to contact me. All of the information is below and there is no charge for consultation. Scott

Re: Case against a big flyght school.

You may be able to bring a lawsuit against the school with a lawyer retained on a contingency basis, meaning that you would not pay your lawyer until you get a settlement, and the lawyer's fees would be paid out of whatever settlement you received.

I am a pilot, and another lawyer in our office is also a pilot. We have handled numerous aviation cases, and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the matter with you in greater detail. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
