Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Took our money and left us dry.....

We hired a tree service to trim our property....on the last day they were to remove some suckers and small branches. I thought there was a re pore with this guy, I had to pick my kids up from school so I gave his wife the check for the job. When I got back they were gone and my property was a mess. What can I do to get them to reimburse me or finish the job? They have canceled their phone and have not returned since. Can I put a lien....sue...etc etc. Regards

Sounds like they have disappeared and that it would not be worth your time to track them down and then sue them. Often, even when you can sue, it makes no sense to do so. You can't collect.
