Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

I purchased a vacation package this morning and right after I did it, I realized it was probably a scam. They are telling me it is non-refundable and they are located in Florida. i have heard that in Florida you can always get your money back if it is within 30 days of purchase. IS this true?

Thanks

You are misinformed. Certain contracts in Florida can be cancelled within three (3) days, but not all situations qualify. If the company is legitimate they probably have a cancellation policy and will work with you. You should look at any sales contract involved, if there is one.

You could also check with the Better Business Bureau and Florida Department of Agriculture Consumer Services to see if any complaints have been filed against the company and whether you should file one too.
